PowerPoint Notes "Rise of Islam" 10/17-10/19

Below in the link is the power-point that I showed in class and what we took Cornell notes on:

The EQ questions are the questions on the bellwork. Make sure you write your summaries. I will be checking the notes on Friday when we we are in the Media Center.

Comparing Religions 10/19

Today after taking the last bit of notes from the power point we compared and contrasted Islam, Christianity, and Judaism.

On a separate sheet of paper title it Comparing Religions and make four columns like below:

Islam              Christianity                   Judaism           Similarities
Quran              Bible                                Torah                All of the religions have a scared text

Under the headings Islam, Chrisitanity, and Judaism you are going to put the differences of each religion. Under the similarities tab you are going to put what each religion has in common. I have given you an example.
You are to use the pages from the Mcgraw Hill online textbook: Islam p. 968, 208-209; Judaism p. 970, 39 ; Christianity p. 178-179, 962 as well as your notes to gather your information. Gather as much information as you can find.

Make sure you have your full heading at the top of the page.
