- He was the messenger of Allah- the founder of Islam, he was a general who lead a strong army, and he was the head of church and state due to in Islam they mix politics and religion.
- A new leader would have been needed and there would have been a struggle for power. The interpretation of Islamic law could have changed. A division among the Islamic leaders could have caused a fracture that would cause the religion to disappear.
